Operational Data Audit
A 2–4 week fixed-fee deep dive into your systems, your data, and the decisions you're making (or guessing at) every day.
Talk about your shopOutcomes
What you'll have when we're done.
- A complete map of every system, spreadsheet, and workaround your team relies on
- A data quality assessment showing where numbers don't match across sources
- A prioritized backlog of opportunities — ranked by impact, not by what's easy to build
- A roadmap with phasing, effort estimates, and a recommendation for next steps
- Clarity on whether you actually need a full data platform — or just need to fix three things
How we work
The process.
Listen & inventory
Interviews with leadership, ops, finance, and the floor. We learn how decisions actually get made today, and which questions never get answered.
Trace the data
We follow real jobs through your stack. From quote, to schedule, to shop, to invoice. We document every handoff, every spreadsheet, every retype.
Diagnose & prioritize
We surface the 3–5 places where data dysfunction is costing you the most — measured in dollars, hours, or risk. No vanity findings.
Roadmap & readout
A written report and a working session with your leadership team. You leave with a concrete plan — whether or not you build it with us.
Deliverables
Exactly what you get.
- Systems inventory document
- Data flow map (visual + written)
- Data quality findings report
- Prioritized opportunity backlog with impact estimates
- Phased implementation roadmap
- 60–90 minute readout session with your leadership team
Fit check
This is right for you if…
You run a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction business doing roughly $5M–$100M in revenue. You have at least 3 different software systems running the business. You suspect your data could be doing more for you, but you're not sure where to start. You'd rather pay a fixed fee for a clear roadmap than a $200k vendor proposal you can't evaluate.
It's probably not the right fit if…
You already know exactly what you want built and just need execution — in that case, skip the audit and book a Unified Data Platform conversation. You're under $2M in revenue and running on one system — you probably don't have an integration problem yet. You want a 'free assessment' that magically turns into a six-figure proposal — that's not how we work.
Common questions
FAQs.
What does it cost?
Audits are scoped as fixed fees based on the size and complexity of your operation. We share a written scope and a fixed price after a 30-minute discovery call. No surprises, no hourly billing.
Do we have to build the platform with you afterward?
No. The audit is designed to stand on its own. The roadmap is yours — you can take it to another vendor, hand it to an internal team, or just sit on it. About two-thirds of our audit clients choose to continue with us, but it's never a requirement.
Will you need to access our actual data?
For some questions, yes — usually read-only access to a few systems is enough to verify what's working and what isn't. We can sign an NDA and a data handling agreement before any access is granted. We never copy production data off your systems.
How disruptive is this to our team?
Minimal. We need 4–6 hours of leadership time and roughly 2–3 hours from key operators across the engagement. Most of the work happens on our side.
What if you find we don't need anything?
It's happened. We've told clients to fix two QuickBooks setup issues and call it a day. Our job is to give you the truth — including 'you're fine.'
